I have been celebrating Christmas my whole life as a christian. About 5 years ago I started feeling it in my spirit that holidays were not what I thought they were. After lots of time devoted to listening to podcasts, reading my bible, and really digging into scripture by myself, did I finally start seeing the truth. Jeremiah 10 was huge for me, I was so sick to my stomach when I read that knowing what I had been doing. Last year was the first year I did not put a tree up. What was strange for me was, it didn't bother me like I thought it would. I asked the Lord to just remove the feelings of nostalgia I thought I would miss and he did! I used to love decorating my tree, listening to kenny rogers christmas lol and other traditions my mom passed down..... and for me to say I don't miss it is still something I can't wrap my mind around! You just know it's our Father!
