A hitch-hiker (Neal) seeking to join his girlfriend (Drake) in Los Angeles runs into trouble when his driver dies of natural causes. Now driving the car himself, he picks up another hitch-hiker (Savage), who embroils him in a wild scheme to assume the dead man’s identity.
