Don't Wanna Fall In Love - Jane Child
Before there was Avril Lavigne, there was Jane Child. Some might say that's a bad comparison, claiming one or the other to be more talented. Sure, Avril Lavigne is not a one hit wonder, and Jane Child could be considered a true artist for trying to keep creative control of her music, which she is said to have written and composed by herself. But, regardless which way you might choose to agree or disagree on who's the better artist, there is at least the similarity of both coming from Canada.
At any rate, this MIDI was one of several thousand of MIDIs that were salvaged before the closure of GeoCities. I'm still not exactly sure what happened. There's so much content from the early days of the internet that have been lost because of Yahoo pulling the plug on it. Truly a sad event.
What isn't so sad, despite the title, is Jane Child's 'Don't Wanna Fall In Love'. Recently I learned of this tune right here on BitChute. I was watching Night Tracks Chartbusters (MARCH 31, 1990) when the video for this song came on. It made me wonder if there was a MIDI out there for this song. As can be seen, there is.
For this arrangement, I didn't change much, other than replacing the drums with Sonic Reality's Premier Timbale kit in Session Drummer. I'm not a huge fan of the GM2's power drums, especially when having good VST2 drum kits. However, outside of changing the basses out for fuzzy and moog basses, I kept most of Cakewalk's TTS-1 GM2 synths. The Rapture Session synths are a bit too much, and the GM2 synths just worked the best for this song.
I found this MIDI here: https://archive.org/download/archiveteam-geocities-midi-collection-2009

The original composer for the song is Jane Child.
