The Time NBC Went Full On "Fake News" With A GM Vehicle Review In 1992.

Credit to the VisionLiberty channel on YT for this vid. In the era of blatant fake news, people forget that the media has been doing this since the beginning. There was simply more concealment to how this was done until the last decade or so. For those that remember, the NBC news magazine series Dateline (before it just became a show about murder mysteries) aired a hit piece about defective gas tanks on GM trucks that ended in explosions. An internal investigation and a tip-off from a whistle blower that was present during the test revealed that NBC crews had staged the explosions using incendiary devices. This, along with the Richard Jewel slander case, were some of the first examples of the mainstream media getting fully called out for their bullshit. At the very least, Jane Pauley should have been drummed out of the business for it.
