Hägar the Horrible (1991, Amiga)

Hägar, a.k.a. Hägar the Horrible, is a platformer based on the long-running comic strip Hagar the Horrible. It was made by German developed Scipio and published by German company Kingsoft. It was also released for the C64.

There is no real plot to the game. You play as Hägar and go through a series of levels to get various items for Helga. At the beginning of each level, Helga will show you a list of items you need to find for her. So you need to make sure that you have found all items before using the exit. Hägar can stab with his sword to defeat enemies, but have to hold down fire for a short time to gather power, otherwise you'll hardly do damage. There is a limited amount of secondary weapons and items, like throwing daggers and medicine, at your disposal. Weapons can also be bought at a shop in the level, while health and extra lives can be bought at a tavern.
