This episode had to be split in half because of keeping an eye on my niece and nephew.
I was going to stitch them together, but I don't want to have to wait around for half an hour not touching my PC, and I'm not happy about it increasing the total amount of uploading by half a gig (somehow stitching two 0.5Gb files together results in a 1.5Gb video, even though output quality was set to be the same as inputs).
Amun Mines introduces us to the Amun Bomb - basically an ancient hand grenade, mostly used for clearing out large numbers of weak enemies or for blowing up walls (secret and otherwise). It has splash damage that you will definitely see me hit myself with a few times in this playthrough, and naturally it seems to do far more damage to the player than to enemies.
We also recover the 2nd piece of the Beacon here, which establishes the trend of EXHUMED hiding secrets behind completely unmarked walls - though thankfully they tend to give you enough other hints to go on, assuming you're not looking for the developer dolls (which I am not, on this run).
In Part 2b, get ready for some banger-ass music, and the first boss fight of the game.
