Las Vegas, NV 2020 April 21st
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police respond to a vehicle speeding along a very busy street (red flag 1). The vehicle's tags turn out to be stolen from another vehicle (red flag 2). After uniformed officers cease following the speeding vehicle, to reduce the liklihood of an accident, the vehicle continues to speed for roughly an hour (red flag 3). LVMP resort to a tactic of using unmarked cars to stealthily surround the speeding vehicle and force it to stop without endangering other motorists. Once stopped, Chase Rosa (24) exited the vehicle with a shotgun and attempts to jack a nearby car at gunpoint (red flag 4). When LVMP officer Tamino shouted "Drop the gun!" Rosa turned the shotgun in Tamino's direction (red flag 5). Officer Tamino and fellow LVMP officers opened fire on Rosa killing him in self defense.
