Tyran Young, 32, was already being held at the Sarasota County Jail on unrelated charges.
According to police, on Jan. 7, 911 operators received a message from an automated source that said, "Help, I need help. My address is (redacted), Sarasota, Florida 34234. Please send help, I fell really hard.”
When paramedics arrived to the address, residents told them no one had called from the home. The paramedics returned to their ambulance, and someone opened fire. The driver's door was struck at least twice.
