Asterix and Obelix Slap Them All - Playthrough Part 1

Started playing Asterix and Obelix Slap Them All - a beat 'em up game starring the two iconic characters in a series of adventures loosely following some of the comics. You get regular combos, grab and throw moves and special hits which require energy. The energy is regularly refilled, so the trick is to use the right move at the right time. You can switch between Asterix and Obelix and if any of them dies it's game over and you have to restart the level. The game is wonderfully animated and there's a good enemy variety, but the combat feels a bit grounded. Perhaps the game is better played co-op with a friend, but I think they should've added extra features like using Dogmatix (a feature available in other Asterix games). You can collect gold in each level increasing your score, but other than that I don't think it has any use. Maybe they reveal themselves later, but some unlockables would've been appreciated.
