NAS - Fizban the Blue - Ch2Ep1 - Dance of the Daedra #Skyrim RP More Mysteries Deep Beneath Markarth
After several nights of laying around and drinking more than eating, Fizban has been sleepless and anxiety ridden. And also, plagued by nightmares. Eager to be push back the memories of what happened while hoping that either drinking would make them go away, or that they’d simply just stop, he soon came to realize these weren’t nightmares, as he was having them awake.
Hearing voices, pushing him to power. Promising him all sorts of things. Magic powers. Minions. Access to knowledge like the Dwemer had below.
After feeling like he was going crazy, he decided the best thing to do was get out and do something, ANYTHING.
He’s pushed away both Lucien and Bree and both had been upset, understandably so.
So after cleaning up, and attempting to calm himself and steady himself, Fizban goes out into the main area of the tavern (1:36 )and finally has THE TALK with Lucien, while Bree mainly listens on, offering little.
While Lucien and Fizban had grown closer, of late Bree and Fizban had grown apart. But, only since...that night. Perhaps, it wasn’t she who had changed?
Pushing visions and voices away, along with the desire to just leave both Lucien and Bree behind as they are too worried about love, and each other to actually attain any TRUE power, he snaps back to reality, having missed what Lucien was prattling on about.
“And to be honest, both myself and Bree are worried and noticed...something,” said Lucien.
Fizban hadn’t heard, and asked “sorry, uh. What?”
Then Lucien, to his credit, calls out Fizban on his behavior. Honestly, Fizban cannot explain it so he doesn’t try to, only explaining to Lucien he’d try when he was well.
He could divulge to Lucien and Bree what he knew happen, but what would they think of him, killing and leaving a Vigilant… And what about...after? He’d have to either make this right, or sort it out.
And there was Arkay. Whatever connection he’d had was severed since that moment. The silence there was soul crushing.
He didn’t even know where he’d begin.
Finally though, the friction breaks and Fizban feels like himself again, asking for some drinks and food, and promising to go out and take a nap after getting a cure disease potion. And after some eating and drinking he does just that.
Not long after he wakes up, the trio head out (4:55). All are in better spirits, well. Save for perhaps Bree. She was still cold and distant.
The light seems to piece his soul...and his skull. Being cooped up inside, drinking for several days had taken its toll. Or perhaps it was the light, pushing away the Darkness that had been creeping up? Lucien and Fizban chat, while Fizban opts to take a route...away from the House. Who knows what would happen this time?
They did go through the city last time, but this time, it all felt different. New. Granted, last time they had walked around so long that night fell, so things were just in a different light, so to speak. Additionally, as they HAD waited so long last time, the Jarl was not in. Now was business as usual so they’d likely be able to talk to him and see what Dwemer artifacts where here and if they could be granted access.
Eager to be away from the noisy market (and happy to be further from the House), they head past the smith, greet some guards, marvel at the architecture, and get lost for a few moments before finally coming to Understone Keep (9:10), home of Jarl Igmund.
The weight of the world seems upon them again as they enter and to their joy, the Jarl is in. After conversing (13:23) about jobs, potential work, and the potential to enter the ruins, he’s told he can help the Jarl, and Markarth by helping clear out some Forsworn who have been raiding OUTSIDE of Markarth, and also by talking to the Court Mage.
There is a veiled threat, as Igmund seems irritated at Fizban mentioning Forsworn “INSIDE” the city. And you don’t go into someone’s tent and kick their dog. Follow their rules. Upon completion of said conversation, Fizban leads the three out into the main area again, recalling he can turn in the dog meat to the lady inside, giving the dogs a pat and some attention (18:16) while en route.
And finally, they find the entrance to the Dwarven area (19:40) known as Nchuand-Zel. After an initial...confrontation of sorts with Calemo the court Wizard, and meeting his nephew, Aicantar, the two have a discussion.
After the initial friction between the two Mages, they start to speak a bit more freely and relaxed, with Calcemo apologizing, and eventually after sharing some history and facts about the Dwemer, offer Fizban and the group a chance to have access, and they take it!
Eagerly, Bree, Lucien and Fizban head into Nchuand-Zel Excavation site.
