Metroid Prime Remastered - Playthrough Part 2

Samus had to face a plant monster, which was more of a puzzle fight - you have to deprive it from energy by removing some reflectors and then use the morph ball to plant bombs and damage it. Defeating it rewards you with the Varia suit, which is resistant to heat, which is convenient, because the next are to explore is the Magmoor Caverns, filled with lava. Then I moved on to the Pehndrana Drifts, which is an icy wasteland. There I acquired the morph ball boost ability, allowing you to see-saw and reach higher places. After some wandering the game provided me with a hint of where I can use this new skill since it's a bit hard to know where half-pipes are located. This new path led me to the space jump boots allowing me to double jump. Eventually I reached a boss fight against an ice monster, which was immune to all my shots except the morph ball bombs. Defeating it earned me the Wave Beam shot, which unlocks purple doors and can damage energy/electrical enemies. Further along I discovered the super missile which fires 5 rockets at once. In a lab created by the space pirates Samus found a Metroid and of course it escaped. They are touch enemies and should be dealt with as quickly as possible before they attach themselves to you. There I found the thermal visor, which allows you to see heat signatures of enemies in the dark. I'm not a big fan of it since it's painful on the eyes.
