Managed to upgrade the Hunter skull it its final form - the Sniper. It looks really cool and its ranged skills are quite useful for crowd control. It may be the best of the charged skulls. I also got the Gambler and this is the combo I decided to go with in preparation for the archbishop since I needed the ranged skills to take him down at a safe distance from his bullet hell bullshit. Unfortunately the empowered mage was a major obstacle and she took one of my resurrections, so by the time I reached the holy SOB I was too low on health to win.
