Also known as "Ich habe Lust im weiten Feld zu streiten" (I feel like arguing in the open field). Based on a poem on a handbill from the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648), originated around 100 years after the heyday of the Landsknechte in the 16th century. First published in: Bergliederbüchlein (1740). The melody for it comes from the spiritual song "Who wants to be a warrior of Jesus" by Hieronymus Annoni (1697-1770), first published in: Wernigerödisch collection of spiritual songs , l767.
Auch bekannt als "Ich habe Lust im weiten Feld zu streiten". Nach einem Gedicht von einem fliegenden Blatt aus dem dreißigjährigen Krieg (1618-1648), also etwa 100 Jahre nach der Blütezeit der Landsknechte im 16. Jahrhundert entstanden. Zuerst veröffentlicht in: Bergliederbüchlein (1740). Die Melodie dazu stammt von dem geistlichen Lied "Wer will ein Streiter Jesu sein" von Hieronymus Annoni ( 1697-1770), zuerst veröffentlicht in: Wernigerödische Sammlung geistlicher Lieder, l767.
