November 1929 (dj.1.11) in Verbindung gebracht.

A song of the German youth movement, written around 1930, the authors of the text and music are unknown. The song is associated with the formation of the Deutsche Jungeschaft of November 1, 1929 (dj.1.11). In another version of the song it says: "We see a blue crowd of boys" which refers to the blue boys' blouse of the dj.1.11. During the National Socialist era, dj.1.11, like all other free youth groups, was banned. However, many young people in these groups continued in secret. Many dj.1.11 members later actively participated in the resistance against the Nazi regime, e.g. Hans Scholl or Helmut Hirsch.
The dj.1.11 saw itself as the third wave of the German youth movement beside federal youth and scouts. They wanted to distance themself from the other youth movement, which she felt was too conformist, and create something new. The 2nd and 3rd verses of the song are also to be understood in this sense. A central concept of the dj.1.11 was "self-achievement": the adolescent should "bring himself up to the light" in the transition to young adult status. He should grow into a man on his own, without the influence of patronizing leaders.
