Started playing Smelter - a hybrid between 2D platormer and a light RTS. You play as Eve who is on a quest to find her partner Adam and meets Smelter - a creature who acts as her body armour. The controls are responsive and there seem to be plenty of powers and upgrades and definitely some Metroidvania elements. The RTS part involves base building and unit and food management plus dealing with random attacks. They seem quite frequent, but aren't a big threat. The resources you gather in the platformer sections can be used in the RTS to upgrade your buildings.
