Woodworking.. Making A prayer bench stool/ kneeler

This project is not that complex but it does have several parts that are easy to duplicate. The wood came from a church built in 1924 ( 100 years ago) and is was used for the benches of the church. It is southern yellow pine and cutting it, I could smell the pitch still in it. The entire piece is only about 24 inches wide and about 19 inches high at the front end with a slight incline to the back. The stain is “gun stock oak “ and the finish is 6 coats of water based satin polyurethane. I did get a chance to use pocket screw technology on this project and with a little bit of glue all the joints were vert tight and secure.
